Mid-Century Walnut Coffee Table w/ Kidney Glass Top by Forest Wilson, c. 1960s
By Forest Wilson
Located in Deland, FL
Introducing an iconic sculptural coffee table by Forest Wilson. Featuring intricately carved solid walnut legs that borrow from fluid forms found in nature, it’s almost as if Wilson is contouring the beams of walnut back to their original shape as tree branches. The kidney-shaped, thick-cut glass top, though likely not original, is an excellent addition and harkens back to the Atomic era of American Modern Design. Wilson’s signature aluminum caps conceal the joining hardware. Perfect for designers searching for an authentic, vintage Forest Wilson table this paradigmatic piece can blend against a myriad of design backdrops from Mid-Century Modern to Boho Chic to Contemporary. With iconic lines, superb woodgrains and a vintage kidney-shaped top this coffee table is sure to make a BOLD impression in any space it inhabits. Make it yours today and add the perfect design accent to your home or office before it's gone forever. ---Dimensions--- Width: 47 in / 119.38 cm Depth: 43 in / 109.22 cm Height: 15 in / 38.1 cm Save for a minor repair this iconic coffee table by Forest Wilson is in original, vintage condition and has aged to perfection! A small corner of one of the legs cracked and has been repaired which can be seen in the detail photos provided. With that said there are no scratches, gouges or other damage present whatsoever and the woodgrains are absolutely stunning in natural light. The atomic era kidney-shaped glass top, though likely not the original, is in very good shape showing only surface scratches (the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos provided) but showing no cracks, chips or other damage whatsoever. This paradigmatic coffee table is functional, structurally sound and ready for a lifetime more of use. Please view all photos for details on this Forest Wilson coffee table...
