Italian Coffe Table in the style of Paolo De Poli in in Enamelled Copper
About the Item
Large coffee table produced in Italy between the 50s and 60s in the style of production by Paolo De Poli, an expert artist in the production of enamelled copper items who collaborated with world-famous designers such as Gio Ponti.
The peculiarity of this Mid Century Coffe table is in the 136 cm long polychrome copper top.
The three-dimensionality of the abstract design is made with the embossing technique, which makes the black lines look like graffiti on the copper surface, while the vivacity of the colors is given by the fired enamel technique.
The top, framed by a mahogany frame that recalls the lower crosspiece of the table, is supported by massive iron legs with height-adjustable brass feet.
