Elm and Oak Pig Bench Butcher's Block Coffee Table
About the Item
Three beautiful boards of elm, over two inches thick and very heavy, are joined together to make the top of this outstanding coffee table. The oak legs have been chamfered into octagons, mortised into oak cleats, splayed for stability, and the cleats attached to the underside of the top. The surface shows only moderate use as a chopping board with many small incisions giving us a splendid example of a table showing decades of purposeful use.
