About the Item
The Ostrich coffee table is part of the Primal collection designed by Egg Designs and manufactured in South Africa.
This high end, contemporary and bespoke coffee table is evidence of Egg's unique perspective in African furniture design.
The ostrich leg, which is the real signature of this piece, is sand cast by an artisan casting company in the Natal Midlands in South Africa, the casting has not diminished any of the detail, there is still beautiful detail in the leg showing the nail and skin imprint. The top is etched and inked solid brass sheet showing an image of a soft ostrich plume, this is clad to a lacquered MDF base. The back support is a curved bronzed and burnished steel plate.
