Bruno Munari
In his prolific career, Bruno Munari was known for various contributions to art, industrial design, film, architecture, art theory, and technology. Munari’s principles and beliefs were built upon his early involvement in the Futurist movement, which he joined at the age of 19 using the pseudonym “Bum.” During the 1930s, Munari began to move towards Constructivism, particularly with his kinetic sculptures, Useless Machines (begun 1933), meant to transform or complicate their surrounding environments. Throughout his career, Munari was captivated by both a sense of whimsy and the manipulation of artificial light. After World War II, Munari also developed radical innovation in graphics, typography, and book publishing, through the latter creating pieces he would call Useless Books.

Light Grey Model Table by Gio Minelli for Superego Editions, Italy
By Giovanni Minelli, Superego Editions
Located in Milan, Italy
The light grey table from the Kernel series is a unique piece made entirely by hand by the designer. Completely built in Glebanite, a special blend of recycled and recyclable fiberglass. An artistic work of circular economy that takes care of the planet earth and our future.
The light grey top alternates shiny parts with opaque parts, its irregular surface shows signs of manual processing, smoothing, craterisms, imperceptible undulatory movements of the material. Its appearance and the sensations to the touch constantly communicate the dexterity and spirit transmitted by the artist in the work. Its organic shaped base resembles a primitive bark, a lava stone.
The resin glass makes the work very resistant and can also be used outdoors.
