Italian 19th Century Louis XVI Style Walnut Center Table
About the Item
An elegant Italian 19th century Louis XVI style walnut, giltwood and faux painted marble center table. The rectangular table is raised by fine circular tapered fluted legs, topie shaped feet with wrap around beaded gilded bands, acanthus leaf carvings and berried laurel and Les Oves designed bands at the top caps. Above each leg are richly chased giltwood rosettes set on a recessed square background. The straight apron is centered by an additional charming and most decorative giltwood rosette. Above is the original wonderfully executed faux painted marble top with an elegant rounded giltwood border. All original gilt throughout.
