French Late 19th Century Louis XVI Style Mounted Two-Tier Center Table

About the Item

A uniquely shaped and most attractive French 19th century Louis XVI st. Mahogany, ormolu, and Coquillier de Bilbao marble table. The octagonal two tiered table is raised by four elegant scrolled legs with fine mottled ormolu cabochons and fitted fluted ormolu plaques. The circular lightly tapered fluted support raises from a mottled octagonal base and leads up to the central octagonal tier with its original fitted Coquillier de Bilbao marble top framed within a lovely wrap around pierced ormolu gallery. The original top octagonal tier is decorated in the same manner also retaining its original Coquillier de Bilbao marble top framed in the same elegant wrap around pierced mottled ormolu gallery. All original gilt throughout.
