Early 20th Century French Silvered Brass Faux Bamboo Bar Cart Bagues Style

About the Item

This beautiful, vintage two-tier rolling bar cart was created in France, circa 1920. Rectangular in shape and built of brass with silver coating, the dessert table stands on large front spoked wheels over a faux bamboo form frame; it is dressed with two plateaus with inset smoked glass surfaces, and the lower tier is further fitted with a three-bottle holder compartment. The trolley table is dressed with a large decorative utilitarian side handle. The classic cart is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated silvered brass finish. Practical and convenient, the service table on wheels could be used to serve cheese, dessert or tea during or after a meal! Measures: 34.25" W x 19.75" D x 31" H.

This elegant, vintage rolling bar cart was created in France, circa 1930 and attributed to Maison Bagues. The rectangular dessert table has a brass frame, small wheels with rubber tires over short straight legs, and two rectangular shelf plateaus topped with glass surfaces. Both shelves are connected by curved inward brass frame and embellished with brass rope form motif connecting the sides together. The removable top deck dressed with tainted glass features a convenient shaped utilitarian handle on each side and is decorated with a brass pierced gallery rim; the tray can be conveniently be lifted up, and be set on a table.
