Alpine Blue Painted Wardrobe 1777 Measurements: H. 182 cm – W. 135 (145 to the frames) cm – D. 48 (54 to the frames) cm Period: 1777 Origin: Tyrol Wood: Fir Description: Alpine wardrobe from 1777, made of fir wood, with a rustic but refined style. The main body of the wardrobe is painted in a deep blue, typical of the Alpine areas, slightly worn by time, which allows some natural grain of the wood underneath to be seen. The two front doors, imposing and symmetrical, are decorated with rectangular panels painted white, which act as a frame for delicate floral decorations. These panels are rich in details: there are flowers in bright colors, such as red, pink, and yellow, harmoniously distributed together with small birds in pastel tones, which seem to rest lightly on the intertwined branches. Each flower and bird seems to tell a story, with an artistic touch that recalls the popular style of the time. The edge of the doors and the entire structure are finished with simple but elegant carvings, highlighted by lines in darker or golden shades. The wrought iron handles have a discreet but functional shape, which integrates perfectly with the overall design. The lock and key are also original and working. Inside, the original divisions are still present, which can be integrated with additional shelves and/or a clothes hanger pole, according to needs. The cabinet can be divided into two parts, vertically, to facilitate transport. This cabinet exudes timeless charm, combining practicality and beauty in a true work of 18th-century Alpine craftsmanship. Restoration information: The photographs you see depict the piece of furniture not yet restored. The state of conservation is excellent. The piece of furniture, at the time of sale, will be supplied completely restored. The customer will decide the desired level of restoration. Our laboratory guarantees conservative restoration for each piece of furniture while respecting its integrity. Each piece of furniture is treated to ensure solidity and hygiene. In particular, the following are carried out: – structural restoration – careful anti-woodworm treatment – cleaning and sanitization of the interior – external finish with natural beeswax – internal finish with shellac (natural alcohol-based varnish) Upon request, we can agree on the desired level of restoration and the customization of the internal layout (clothes hanger poles, shelves, etc.).
