Vintage Williams Kimp Sideboard
About the Item
From Niagara Furniture a Vintage Williams Kimp Sideboard in excellent condition, with the top have recently been French polished to give it a straight from the showroom look.
Simple yet sophisticated this beautiful Vintage Williams Kimp Sideboard has everything going for it. A slightly deeper size than many other high leg sideboards this item boasts a nice amount of storage space featuring three drawers and four large cupboard areas behind the doors. Inside the top drawer is a factory original makers mark. The drawer is dovetailed with the secondary portions of the drawers being produced from American oak and the drawer also features drawer glides for easy opening and closing.
The bow shaped front is a classic design feature and this shape is highlighted on the top of the sideboard and this shaping continues downward and is reflected on both the door and drawer fronts. High quality construction throughout is exemplified in the solid mahogany legs, the designer style hardware, the intricate use of inlays as well as the dovetailed drawers. Each cabinet area features a working lock and there is an original key that comes with the sideboard.
This Vintage Williams Kimp Sideboard rests on six fantastic, inlaid tapered legs, each of which is surrounded by beautiful banding near the bottom. The four front legs each have wonderful, fine pencil thin inlays as well
As with all antique and used pieces of furniture there will be some small signs of wear and tear but overall this item is in excellent original condition.
