French Charles X Sideboard in Mahogany, circa 1825

About the Item

A very fine and unusually long Charles X sideboard with beautifully carved volutes decorated with acanthus leaves flanking each of two cabinet doors, below three concave drawers. Back-splash is embellished with carved crown of laurel leaves. Solid African mahogany top, back-splash and drawer fascias with mahogany also used as the secondary wood, a practice employed at the time with only the finest workmanship. French-polished mahogany, France, circa 1825-1830. Dimensions: 92" long x 26 3/4" deep x 38 1/2" high (+ 24" backsplash height) Note: You should always request a shipping quote.
