A truly remarkable piece of furniture that excels in every aspect of design: from its impeccable execution and charmingly crafted carvings to its craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. The aesthetic of the design evokes the stylistic tendency of Italian master Paolo Buffa. The design’s key detail lies in its corpus, which is punctuated by six drawers on its front face, each adorned with a strikingly repetitive, three-dimensional diamond pattern and accented with brass triangle handles. The vertical supports adopt a wide, tapering trapezoidal form that flares slightly towards the ground. The legs are united by a simple horizontal stretcher with exposed cross-shaped joinery being an integral part of its construction that not only support the structure but also serve as a decorative highlight, profoundly impacting the overall design. Constructed from chestnut, it features a distinctive, pronounced grain pattern with a natural warm tone.
