About the Item

1960’s Four Door Birch Two Tone Cabinet – Nabytek Czech 1960’s Four Door Birch Two Tone Cabinet – Nabytek Czech. Beautiful simple and classic mid century cabinet sourced in the Czech Republic. Produced by Nabytek in Brno in the Czech Republic. Czech design will always be affiliated to the Bauhaus movement which inspired a generation of design and industrial production in Czechia principally during the second half of the 20th , with producers such as Ton and Up Zavody amongst many others. Nabytek’s was one of the top end cabinet producers competing with Up Zavody. This is a high quality practical cabinet with the bottom section featuring a cabinet and three original walnut drawers. The middle section retains the original glass sliding doors and the top section has two swing doors. Inside there are original shelves with various adjustments. Internal overall dimensions top 30L x 52W x 62H (shelves fully adjustable). Middle section 28L x 106W x 31H. Bottom section left 43L x 52W x 28H all cm. Bottom section drawers internal dimensions 40L x 49W x 7H. All dimensions cm. The cabinet is very original but our workshop has gently cleaned and restored it ensuring all doors and drawers run and open smoothly. WORKSHOP REPORT Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
