Fine Black Lacquer Chinoiserie Secretary

About the Item

A black lacquer chinoiserie secretary in two parts. The upper cabinet with two doors that open to reveal 2 shelves, 4 pigeon holes flanked by small drawer with butterfly form hardware. The lower cabinet with drop down door with additional pigeon holes and a writing surface above 2 over 3 drawers and resting on bracket feet. All decorated with figural, floral and scenic landscapes and details. Dimensions: 39" W, 18" D, 88" H Condition: Very good overall condition, there are some areas of wear from doors opening and closing as well as superficial surface wear including some light scratching which does not detract from the fine and elegant presentation.
