Antique Country French Regence Style Secretary
About the Item
Antique Country French Regence style Secretary was hand-crafted from solid oak, and features a traditional slant-front drop down desk surface that when closed, exhibits extraordinary artistry carved directly into the sumptuous wood! Stylized shell, floral and foliate motifs appear in abundance throughout the design, on the pair of exterior drawers, and on the undulating apron. Even the gracefully scrolled cabriole legs have received the attentions of the sculptor's hand, tipped with cloven hoof feet. When open, the piece provides a surprising work surface perfect for laptops or tablets, with interior cubby holes and drawers ideal for storage of office or collector's paraphernalia. The exterior drawers afford copious storage for added convenience, and the design is suitably executed to present an attractive appearance from all angles!
