A Louis XV period Dutch mahogany armoire and chest of drawers that in its time would have been used as a linen press. The armoire is topped with a serpentine carved cartouche showing a classical male head in profile wearing a wreath; inset in open carved acorn branches over a pair of panelled doors in beautifully matched mahogany. The doors are also topped with opposing carved oval profiles. The front sides of the top section have rounded fluted columns with gilded Corinthian capitals flanking carved molded edge floral doors. This large and impressive wrought iron Louis XV style console, crafted in the 1980s, is accented with large polished cast bronze mounts consisting of acanthus leaves, laurel leaves and ball spacers between the steel elements. The table wall mounts and appears to float in space with dynamic tension. The top and bottom are crafted from tessellated dark green gray marble that adds a rich patterned surface to the overall design.
