About the Item

Cocktail bar with pair of bar stools, chrome-plated steel, velvet, stainless steel, plastic, Italy, 1970s Hollywood Regency cocktail bar in the style of Willy Rizzo. This exquisite set includes a counter element and an illuminated cabinet, adorned with chrome and black velvet details. The counter features a stainless steel surface, complete with an integrated fridge and drawer. The sideboard offers shelves for convenient storage of bottles and glassware. Completing the set, the bar stools are clad in black velvet and rest on a chrome-plated steel base with black velvet strokes. The combination of diverse materials, colors, and textures creates a luxurious and sophisticated appearance. Willy Rizzo (1928-2013), born in Naples, was a celebrity and Hollywood photographer. His models include Brigitte Bardot and Audrey Hepburn. At a later stage in life, Rizzo discovered that his clientele loved his particular aesthetics and sense for style so much that he decided to design furniture. Often his design where commissions from for example Salvador Dali or Marilyn Monroe. From the end of the 1960s onwards, Rizzo designed about 30 different furniture pieces. Dimensions illuminated cabinet: H 196 W 139.5 D 15.5 cm / H 77.17 W 54.92 D 6.1 in. Dimensions counter element: H 96 W 149.5 D 63 cm / H 37.8 W 58.86 D 24.8 in. Dimensions bar stools: H 70 W 25 D 25 cm / H 27.56 W 9.84 D 9.84 in. Kindly note that the pieces exhibit signs of age and use, including scratches, dents, and marks. Restoration is possible before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. Of course, a locally organized restoration is possible as well.
