About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely very solid double-sided with bookcase back, hand made Military Campaign twin pedestal partner desk in solid mahogany and satinwood I have the matching tall large three drawer filing cabinet listed under my other items A very solid desk, this is a bookcase back double sided desk originally designed so two partners would share it each having desk space for storage or a secretary one side and the boss the other. This one is all wood, the mahogany is thick and heavy, the drawers and internals are all satinwood which has a lovely warm patina to it This desk splits into three easy to transport pieces, you have the side pedestals and the large desk top. All the bottom drawers have locks with working keys In terms of the condition we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there are some age related patina marks here and there, there bottom left and right drawers had split across the middle, they have been glued and clamped, otherwise its in fine order throughout Dimensions: Height 77cm Width 152cm Depth 91cm Legroom Height 60.5cm Width 60.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.

Airy, which is one of the higher quality campaign manufacturers. This well-made desk executed out of oakwood which has a lovely warm patina to it, the cuts of timber are lovely with great proportions from any angle.
