Custom Built Art Deco desk attributed to Johann Tapp of Chicago . Built for Chicago Tribune Pulitzer prize winning cartoonist Carey Orr. Both top side panels flip inward to create drafting workspace. Sliding doors reveal multiple compartments drawers and hand-hammered fittings. Shown in original finish from the 1930 - 40s.
