Constructed in Circassian walnut, exuberantly dressed with gilt bronze mounts and a central situated oblong 'Sevres' plaque; rising from an inverted serpentine plinth base, four fluted columns flanking the centrally situated lockable door, enclosing a shelved interior and mounted with the porcelain plaque, depicting lovers in a landscape.

The mantle clock, and its two matched vases, are constructed in jewelled 'Sèvres' style porcelain, hand and polychrome decorated, with gilt highlights and finely gilt bronze.
