A breathtaking meticulously restored pair of bamboo marquetry commodes, circa 1970. Stout mahogany case construction veneered in diagonally applied reed bamboo with cane accents. Each chest has one drawer above an open compartment with a single marquetry shelf. The bamboo demonstrates an absolutely fantastic range of color - very Albert Hadley. Textural organic perfection. Important focal points designed to anchor an memorable room. Excellent Restored Condition. Professionally cleaned and re-lacquered. Lacquer finish with stunning depth and luster. All bamboo veneer is intact and complete.
