Pair of Venetian Neoclassical Hand Painted Commodes
About the Item
A pair of Venetian commodes, hand painted in the Neoclassical style featuring fine scroll work in hues of brick pinks, yellow ochres, olive greens and blues on an old white naturally aged, craquelure background. The overall warm tones of the paintwork are accentuated by the faux marble top which was made in a terracotta palette. The piece has square tapered legs and has the artwork on front and both sides.
