Very old Japanese large drawer storage. The furniture is from the Meiji period (1860s-1900s). Material is paulownia wood which is very expensive today. The handles are made of iron. The design is ultimately simple and lean. It is characterized by a uniquely Japanese rusticity. This would be the true Japanese black. In addition to the richness of the age-old taste, this jet-black color expresses the good old furniture of Japan. It has been carefully and meticulously maintained so as not to spoil the atmosphere of the passage of time. All drawers open and close smoothly. All have been washed and sanitized with water. You can use it with peace of mind. There are still some insect bite marks, but please be assured that there are no insects. The spirit of "Wabi-sabi," the Japanese idea of finding beauty in imperfection and impermanence, can be felt in this piece. It is the opposite of vulgarity; it is understated, modest, and unconventional beauty. This is a unique and very rare item. It weighs approximately 25 kg.
