Antique Louis XV Style Inlaid Rosewood Chest with Ormolu Mounts and Escutcheons
About the Item
Late 19th century, France, a beautiful four drawer inlaid rosewood tall side chest, with variegated loose marble top, ormolu mounts and sabots, and crisp cross banding. The escutcheons on each drawer front complement the mounts on the corners. The beveled variegated marble top shows soft pinks, golds and tans. The chest has a lovely patina and while there are small areas of vener loss to the bottom drawer and front apron, it is a lovely decorative piece. Repairs would be relatively minor.

Good/Fair, minor veneer losses and chips. See photographs. Shows well.
