Swedish Art Deco Cabinet from Reiners Möbelfabrik Manufactured 14th October 1938

About the Item

This is the Swedish Modern 1930s cabinet from Reiners Möbelfabrik in Mjölby. It comes in nearly mint condition despite the age of 84. Made from birch and veneered with stained birch, walnut and teak wood. Behind the doors hides two teak veneered sections with moveable shelves. The right part also includes five beautiful drawers. Like an extension of the short sides, two fundamental legs are formed that give the cabinet its special look. The cabinet actually plays in its own division! The lock works, and one key how is cast with Reiner's emblem, an "R" enclosed with three crowns in a triangular frame, is included. This particular cabinet is manufactured October 14th, 1938. The date of manufacture, “14 10 38”, is stamped to the back of the cabinet’s frame. The designer is unknown. Reiners Möbelfabrik was known for its excellent craftsmanship and level of quality.
