About the Item
This is an old Japanese cabinet.
It was used in the Tohoku region of Japan around the Meiji period, and the main parts are all made of cedar. It is a light and easy-to-handle size.
The surface of the door has a simple design that is evenly arranged with vertical poles, making it easy to match the modern space.
Old paper is attached to one of the backs of the door and is finished to leave its history by peeling off naturally due to aging.
Paper that has been peeled off naturally is decorated like art, adding an accent to the space, so I think it's okay to set it up to show the back of the door.
Of course, it is also a good idea to put it as a sideboard and decorate it with a vase or ceramics.
While leaving wear due to long-term use, it is finished in black using traditional Japanese paint.
The inner shelf has 3 tiers and is fixed.
I think that the appearance, which has been carefully used by human hands for a long time and has changed little by little, is well balanced and harmonious, and very valuable.
