Antique French Whitewashed Walnut Step-Front Marble Top Buffet
About the Item
Antique French Whitewashed Walnut Step-Front Marble Top Buffet will create a majestic visual statement in any room! The step-front design combined with serpentine sides creates interest from any angle, and accentuates the form while bringing the natural beauty of the stripped walnut to the fore. Sis boldly scrolled legs with escargot feet provide support, connecting the undulating apron that is finely bordered and at the center section beautifully carved with acanthus fronds and wildflower sprays. Four cabinet doors above feature scrolled and arched panels surrounded by finely molded frames with carved accents on the top or corner. Four drawers above that feature tailored molding detail. Brass hinges hang the doors, with figured brass key guards and cast drawer pulls to complement the look. Doors and drawers open to reveal cavernous storage. The four front-facing cornerposts are rounded and carved with complementary flourishes. The piece de resistance? An exquisitely veined rouge and sienna marble top has been expertly contoured and hand-beveled to follow the form of the casework below, providing amazing carefree elegance! Painstakingly whitewashed by our expert in-house staff!
