We are delighted to offer this very fine, highly collectable original Regency circa 1810 revolving library bookcase in mahogany with leather faux books
If you are looking at this listing then most likely you know what this is, these are exceptionally rare, highly collatable pieces of gentleman’s library furniture. They would have originally been found in wonderful stately homes in the late Georgian to early Regency era. You find these littered through fine furniture books as rare desirable must haves for the dedicated furniture connoisseur
Simply put placing a piece like this is a statement, it says you have style, class and sophistication
It has been professionally restored to include some book work, the leather has had the colour restored to give it some more of the original colour, the timber has been washed back and French polished, the key point to note with the restoration is that’s it’s been sympathetic meaning all the original charm and patina is still present
