Antique A&C Charles LIMBERT Bookcase w/ Leaded Glass Stickley Era F6156 SALE

About the Item

This is a Charles Limbert Bookcase (Model 321) from the early 1900s with 2 doors and leaded glass in excellent condition. Signed with an early Charles Limbert paper label on the back, numbered "321” as pictured. The piece is very substantial with thick quarter sawn oak boards and great original fumed black finish. There is REAL true keyed through tenon construction on the top and bottom of each side. The original leaded glass has no damage. It has a great design. The hardware is in perfect condition and original. There are 4 adjustable shelves on each side of the bookcase. The piece is extremely heavy and bulky and has early form. The back is also in good condition. WE RUNNING A SPECIAL SALE This bookcase is a very nice early Arts & Crafts era piece which would add storage and character to any home or business. Dimensions: Height 52" (plus 2" for gallery top) Width 42" Depth 14" Shelf size 12.4" x 18.75" Please note: Most "Stickley" and “Charles Limbert” items and many Roycroft items online are reproductions, or outright fakes. For example, in 1974 a man named Alfred Audi, along with his wife Aminy, approached the widow of Leo Stickley before she passed. He purchased the L&JG Stickley company, along with the brand name "L&JG Stickley," and he manufactured furniture "In The Style" of the original Stickley work. Be careful of buyers who describe their items as being from a “Stickley School.” This is just a way to get you to believe the item is actually authentic, original Stickley. In most cases, it is not. We purchase most of our Stickley and Limbert furniture from well known collections in New York and in Philadelphia. We may pay a little more but we get the BEST. We have over 5,000 pieces of real Stickley, Roycroft, and Limbert furniture. We buy from collections in New York and Pennsylvania. We buy only the best. We pay a little more than other dealers, but we get only the very best. We don't deal with "problem" furniture. Watch 1stDebs for future listings of these pieces! F6156
