A simply glorious piece, the frame has the traditional George III narrow wings and flat top arms, it is the exact right size, the stud work is ornate and expertly tacked all over. The seat base is coil sprung and very comfortable. The base frame is what's called a traditional H frame and was popular with Thomas Chippendale and George Hepplewhite designs.
The chair has very rare back legs, they have an extreme outwards turn and are have sawn from single pieces of wood, they put an interesting spin on a usually ignored part of the wingback
The chair has fully restored to include being upholstered with premium Italian cattle hide leather, this is upholstered plain and then hand dyed six times, antiqued, sealed waxed down and polished, it is in sublime order throughout
