This substantial wingback chair, reminiscent of Märta Blomstedt's designs, offers unparalleled comfort with its generously padded seat and backrest. The wingback-shaped headrest and opulent design create an enclosed, cozy seating experience. The slightly reclined backrest enhances relaxation, while dark stained wooden feet provide sturdy support. Upholstered in luxurious ocean blue fabric, adorned with golden beige stitchwork, this chair is a striking blend of elegance and comfort, perfect for any sophisticated interior.
Please note that we advise reupholstery before use. This item contains threadbare upholstery with discoloration, stains, and a hole. Reupholstery can be done before shipping by our experienced craftspeople in our own in-house restoration atelier. With high attention for the original, they make sure every piece retains its value and is ready for the many years to come. We kindly ask you to contact our design experts for further information about the endless possibilities our restoration and upholstery atelier has to offer. Of course, a locally organized reupholstery is possible as well.

Grand high back chair newly upholstered by the experienced craftspeople in our in-house atelier. This chair features an exceptional high backrest with wings, giving it a very theatrical appearance. Typical for Italian midcentury design are the curvy, bold shapes such as the voluptuous armrests. The green feet are small and conical. This chair is a comfortable classic winged chair with an elegant high back that will fit perfectly in a cosy corner.
Guglielmo Ulrich (1904-1977) was an Italian architect, furniture designer and writer. After attending the Scuola Speciale di Architettura at the Brera Academy and graduating in architecture at Politecnico di Milano in 1927 Ulrich started his successful career. Together with Renato Wild he founded a furniture manufacturing company called ‘Arca’ in 1930. The company focused on exquisite materials and luxurious designs.
