Oak wood black stool
About the Item
This hand crafted wood stool and side table made of English Oak and dyed black is perfect for use in any room, from bedside table to living room seating.
It is large enough to comfortably sit on, whilst also being perfect to work next to a sofa, to fit under a dining table or even as a super simple bed side table.
The semi gloss stool is first coated in jet black India ink, and then 3 coats of hardwax oil are applied which protect the stool and give it its unique sheen, whilst still being able to see and feel the grain.
The stool has been made entirely using hand tools. The curved sides have been made using traditional tools which you can feel as you run your hand across. The construction method of 'wedged tenons' to hold the legs in place is a tried and tested method which has been used for many centuries.
This unique stool is a celebration of traditional joinery, given a modern twist.
