About the Item

With a long tradition of craftsmanship, there has always been a heightened appreciation of design throughout Scandinavia. Scandinavian design emerged as a prominent contributor to European design philosophy with many of the most well-known mid-century designers and furniture models hailing from the Nordic countries. This sofa possesses design elements that define Scandinavian mid-century modernism, including its gentle, homely aesthetic, use of quality materials and the knowledge of master cabinetmakers. According to Scandinavian design traditions, this sofa is made of refined, yet rustic materials, such as solid wood and wool fabrics.
