Set of Four 1940s Pre Production Eames DCW Chairs

About the Item

Own a piece of design history with this rare set of 1st generation pre production Eames DCW chairs in Calico Ash, produced by Evans. One chair retains all original shock mounts with washers. Another retains only the original seat shock mounts with washers. Other shock mounts were replaced. Despite missing the original stickers (which fall off easily), the 5-2-5 screw patter along with the lack of glides indicate that these chairs are from the 1st generation of the DCW. This set came out of an Eichler home in Northern California.
