Country French Provincial Louis XV Style Serpentine Wingback Settee
About the Item
Charming walnut wingback settee canape made in the country French provincial or Louis XV taste. The carved frame has a distinctive serpentine crest and apron with gracefully curved wings on each side of the seat. The arms measure 24 inches high conjoining to a seat with a fitted loose cushion. The settee has vintage upholstery that still shows well and is very presentable in a striped pattern fabric having soft earth-toned shades that stand out boldy against the rich walnut frame. Solid and strong with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Beautifully crafted with solid joinery. Vintage upholstery shows well with stains on bottom of cushion and not visible. Age appropriate wear and fading with minor nicks and scuffs on wood frame as seen in photos.
