19th Century French Louis XVI Style Settee

About the Item

Very Fine French custom upholstered Settee m with gilt and carved frame having a Ribbon Crest and all over Acanthus Leaf, Scroll and Foliate carving, fluted and tapered round legs, arm manchettes and Classic French form. The Settee upholstered in a sophisticated thick woven tapestry like fabric with tones of Gold and Wheat with all over twisting rope trim. Very solid feeling and quite comfortable. Measurement: The Settee measures 52” wide by 24” deep by 45.25” high. The seat height is 16” and the arm height is 27”. Condition: Please see detail photos. The overall condition is very good with only slight acceptable age-related wear including some expected gilt loss which does not detract from the very fine authentic French presentation.
