Exceptional Organic Swedish Modern Easy Chair in Sheepskin and Beech, Late 1940s

About the Item

This very rare lounge chair was designed and produced in Sweden in the late 1940s. The organic, curved lines of this easy chair give it a sculptural and striking appearance. Its well-thought-out construction and proportions ensure great seating comfort. The inviting shape seems to embrace anyone who sits in it, offering a cozy and welcoming experience. Visually appealing from every angle, the chair is ideal for central, freestanding placement in any room. The chair has been completely restored and reupholstered. Soft and sumptuous cream white sheepskin and caramel brown deep stitched leather buttons. The tapered legs are in solid beech wood. Scandinavian Modern designers working in the same era include Finn Juhl, Arnold Madsen, Otto Schulz, Viggo Boesen and Fritz Hansen.
