A Superb Set of Four Leather & Elm Safari Dining Chairs Circa 1970’s by Maison Regain This rare set of 4 safari chairs, are in beautiful condition, the original cream leather is supple, and the back rest remains taught, suggesting that these chairs have had minimal or very careful usage. The elm seat supports are also I fantastic shape, with strong joints and no areas of damage. In cream, these are the rarest of the Maison Regain safari chairs and theses four are excellent examples. We've been sourcing and selling early 20th Century and antique French furniture for 20 years. All of our pieces are sympathetically restored. We specialise in original, French, leather club chairs. Even though our stock is quite consistent, finding original club chairs in a very good, original condition is a constant challenge. With our partners in France, we are always on the lookout and our chairs can be found anywhere from a local brocante to a chateau sale, from the north to the south of France. In our experience, nearly all the chairs will need attention to the springs, after all they're not just objects of beauty, they are to be used. In addition, the leather on our chairs is always nourished and the upholstery cleaned. Our customers range from private homes to hotels and clubs, film and fashion shoots.
