Set of Six Italian 18th Century Venetian Patinated and Giltwood Dining Chairs

About the Item

A stunning set of six Italian 18th century Venetian patinated and giltwood dining chairs, circa 1760. Each chair is raised by most elegant richly carved scrolled acanthus leaf feet below lovely patinated cabriole legs. A fine giltwood fillet extends up each leg and along the scalloped shaped frieze, centered by a charming finely detailed foliate seashell reserves. The giltwood fillets extend along each side and up the decorative scalloped shaped back supports. Above are the majestic scrolled top crowns also centered by finely carved seashell reserves. All original gilt and patina throughout.
