About the Item

Set of 19th C. Italian Gothic-style dining chairs featuring intricate wooden carvings and dark leather upholstery, The frames are made of walnut with elaborate openwork tracery in the backrests, resembling classic Gothic architectural elements such as pointed arches and quatrefoil motifs. The leather is beautifully worn, with a distressed patina, and is accentuated by brass nailhead trim along the edges. The legs are ornately turned and carved, with stretchers reinforcing the structure.
