We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely set of four handmade in Germany Rolf Benz 7800 dining chairs RRP £1955 per chair so £7820 in total Widely considered as one of the most comfortable dining chairs of all time, the Rolf Benz 7800 chair has a Z bend and flexes with your weight offering a tiny amount of comfortable play in the seat Each chair has been deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished, the leather is free from marks or damage, they are used chairs so it has a very light vintage worn patina to the upholstery The leather is called Nappa leather and is in traffic black, they are comfort lux which is very interesting stuff Dimensions: Height 98cm Width 46.5cm Depth 63cm. Here’s what the experts have to say! Rolf Benz 7800 chair: Concentrating on the essentials 'Life in motion‘ – this is one of the key principles of product design at Rolf Benz. It stands for a truly dynamic language of form that is based on the molecular structures of Nature. A perfect example of this is the Rolf Benz 7800 chair. It concentrates on the essentials: with its strong minimalist lines, outstanding seating comfort and a striking design, this chair resembles a sculpture. A chair doesn't need any more to it. The German furniture designer Joachim Nees created this chair according to the well-known concept of the "swing frame“ featuring a magnificent and dynamic zigzag curve. Thanks to the sophisticated design it is possible to sit upright in an ergonomically correct position. Moving or leaning back at a more relaxed angle will make the chair rock slightly while still supporting the body. The seating comfort is enhanced by the relatively high back and the sophisticated design of the upholstery. The backbone of the chair is a metal inside frame that has been fashioned into shape with various moulded and soft foams and skilfully upholstered by highly qualified craftsmen at Rolf Benz. The visible U-shaped metal foot is matt chrome-plated, providing a firm base for the chair. The chair looks particularly elegant when upholstered in leather. Concentration On The Essentials The Rolf Benz 7800 concentrates on the essentials: excellent seating comfort and a striking design that makes this compact chair look like a sculpture. Thanks to its refined design, this exceptionally beautifully shaped chair can rock freely, thereby supporting both ergonomically correct, upright sitting as well as leaning back and relaxing. The seat and back of the chair are comfortably upholstered while the feet are matt or high-gloss chrome plated. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
