Set of 3 Dining Chairs Laje in Hardwood
About the Item
The LAJE chair pays homage to collective groups of people living in the outskirts of the big cities from Brazil, which are generally known for their unique style of buildings: a collection of small houses in uneven terrain, most of them flawed and undone, but set with strong foundations capable of holding a large number of families. The houses are left purposely with an unfinished concrete slab roof, called “Laje”, which works as a place of gathering and entertainment for its residents.
Valter Costa Lima brings the inspiration for the creation of the LAJE chair from the simplicity of the structural elements of the popular houses and the instinctive building abilities of its owners, translating its characteristics to furniture design and using traditional carpentry techniques combined with a conscious production with lesser waste. Ultimately this versatile piece can be used as dining chair or even as a statement armchair in various living spaces.

Use a soft dry cloth or duster to clear.
Do not use abrasive products, solvents, ammonia, chlorine, steel wool or similar materials.
We only use solid wood. In some cases, there may be variations in tone due to the natural characteristics of the material.
