About the Item

Wood, in many ways, is more valuable than other materials used in furniture manufacturing because its natural grain guarantees that each piece is unique. This is especially important in the case of this set of four, as each chair is unique and together, they form a gorgeous, rustic set. European design, no matter the historic era, is often synonymous with sophistication and elegance, but the mid-century decades gave birth to the most appealing wooden models as well. Visually this set offers an organic form of mid-century design that shows similar qualities to brutalism. The solid wood bodies have strong, confident lines, yet, the set still exudes organic charm. This is the result of the light coloured blonde oak, the gently rounded edges and the decorative backrests. The round, hollow carving is a delightful addition to the design as it breaks the strict lines of the structure and lends an airy look to the chairs. The legs’ stretchers and the visible joinery tips further add to the organicity and the chairs’ strong presence.
