Mid-Century Modern Vintage Set of Four Dining Chair Roland Rainer, 1952, Austria

About the Item

Mid Century Modern set of four bicolor dining chairs, which were designed by Roland Rainer and executed by Emil & Alfred Pollak, Vienna. The presented dining chairs were designed for the backstage area for the Viennese City Hall ( build from 1953-1958, one of the leading event locations in Europe ) and the model named P7. The stackable dining chairs show interesting and important design features. The solid beechwood base is honey brown stained, while the seat and back were made out of natural lacquered plywood. The surface is professionally polished by hand. The set of four stackable dining chairs are in very good vintage condition. Approximate measures: Width 43 cm Depth 53 cm Height 77.5 cm Seat height 45 cm Roland Rainer (1910-2004) was a famed Viennese architect during the Mid-Century Modern era. He created many popular furniture designs, which are searched from all over the world.
