Country French Carved Oak Ladder Back Chairs with Rush Seat, Set of Six
About the Item
These six elegant country chairs were crafted in Normandy France, circa 2000. Carved from solid oak, each chair stands on turned front legs and back legs, all connected with a bottom stretcher. Each chair has a tall pitched back with four scalloped ladders across for great support and comfort, and embellished with a carved cone shaped finial. The large seat is wide and deep and dressed with a handwoven colorful rush surface. The whole dining table set is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a dark walnut patina throughout. These chairs would be a perfect addition around a breakfast room table, and would give your home an undeniable country French look.
