Antique 19th Century Set of Four Carved Mahogany Chippendale Dining Chairs 1890

About the Item

A good set of four antique Chippendale Revival carved mahogany chairs, circa 1890. The chairs are finely carved from high quality solid mahogany, each chair having back rails & arms carved with acanthus leaves, the vaseiform backsplats are carved in the Chinese Chippendale manner. The 'drop in' seats have recently been professionally recovered in a high quality William Morris style fabric, the chairs are raised on straight legs. The set comprises two captain's/armchairs and two side chairs, condition is very good, the chairs are stable & robust and ready to receive your guests. A very stylish set of four Jens Risom (1916-2016) Danish Mid Century Modern teal dining chairs, circa 1960.
