1950’s French Baumann Wavy Back Bentwood Dining Chairs – Set Of Four 1950’s French Baumann Wavy Back Bentwood Dining Chairs – Set Of Four. Baumann is a slightly off the radar French producer just starting to gain traction in the market. Baumann was founded in 1901, by Swiss man Emile Baumann, in Colombier Fontaine, France. Baumann started producing a simple child’s chair but grew rapidly to be a large bentwood producer with showrooms all over France. In our view the chairs of the 50’s and 60′ are their best, beautifully made and designed. This is an unusual elegant model with a double rail back and a slight hint of a wavy line, slim and petite elegant chairs. We have cleaned them, thats all. If you want an uber stylish chair that you wont see often this will hit the spot. Seat Height 46cm WORKSHOP REPORT Our workshop team inspect every product and carry out any needed repairs to ensure that everything leaves us serviced and maintained ready for many more years of life. All of our vintage products show the rich beauty and history of their life with the knocks and bumps of many years of use and we try to minimise restoration to keep every piece as original as possible.
