This club chair gives us all of the good feels! We love EVERYTHING about it. lets just talk about this phenomenal fabric for a second! It totally reminds us of the Jack Lenor Larsen fabric used quite frequently by esteemed designer Milo Baughman. It’s Stunning with its flame stitch geometric zig zag pattern fabric in rich colors of brown, beige, and orange; buttons on the fixed back cushion; and vertically chromed plastic trim on the front of the arms of the chair. The seat cushion is loose, filled with Aire Lux urethane foam by South Aire inc. as is the complete body of the chair, and it is oh-so-comfortable! It’s modern in style but it will blend in beautifully with many décor practices, from Mid-Century Modern to Industrial and modern country to western with anything in between; plus, it will look fabulous in any room. In your sitting room next to a wonderful floor lamp, in a corner of your bedroom, next to the sofa in your living room, or next to a window in the office. This vintage club chair is a wonderful example of superior seating and it’s just what you’ve been looking for!
Gaines Furniture Company started in 1952 when Holiday Inns founder Kemmons Wilson contracted with Ben Gaines Sr. to make chairs for the first Holiday Inn hotels. He met Gaines as he was in search of someone to reupholster his own living room furniture and he found Mr. Gaines and his wife Ludie hard at work in their upholstery side business in their garage. She would sew and he would upholster. Wilson and Gaines became friends and business partners. In 1958 Gaines moved the company to McKenzie and Gaines Furniture became a manufacturer of living room furniture for retail markets. It was sold to River Oaks in 1994 which has reorganized as a private company. In 1997 Ben Gaines Jr. opened a new company called New Generations. – Memphis Business Journal

Vintage Mid-Century Modern Club Lounge Chair by Flair Division for Bernhardt
By Bernhardt
Located in Topeka, KS
Handsome Mid-Century Modern club chair or lounge chair from the Flair Division of Bernhardt Furniture. It is in wonderful vintage condition and wearing its original light turquoise blue nubby fabric. It has been professionally cleaned but the fabric does have fading as you would expect and there are still stains but no holes or tears. It will be at its best recovered. It is priced accordingly. Please see photos, circa 1960s.
I must tell you when we walked into the home where we obtained this chair and many of our other recent and soon to be offerings, I thought if I was ever going to faint this is the time. Of course, the house itself blew me away and then……the original furniture and art in all its glory. This chair is part of a three-piece living room suite by Bernhardt Furniture Flair Division and we are offering all three pieces this week. This club chair with its Lawson styling and loose cushions is really comfy; plus, it is held up off the floor with a fabulous base. The base or legs are comprised of a pair of walnut planks turned upright and running from front to back on each side of the chair. Simple yet dynamic.
Bernhardt Furniture was established in 1889 by John Mathias Bernhardt and has been going strong for over 125 years. He spent many years out west in Oregon Territory. After a serious illness, traveling back home to Lenoir, North Carolina and working as a logger in the densely forested foothills of Grandfather Mountain...

What a delightful, debonaire, square cube chair!!! Isn’t it gorgeous? We certainly think so!! This is a handsome cube chair by iconic designer Maurice Villency wearing a fabulous black vinyl on the frame of the chair and button tufted black faux leather on the loose seat and back cushions.
