About the Item

The fabulously iconic “banana lounge” chaise by Homecrest is an absolute darling among collectors. The distinctive Mid-Century Modern Model 105 Siesta chaise outdoor lounge has been completely restored with new white enamel paint and custom fabricated cushion. This is not your average cushion. The one-of-a-kind custom creation is reversible! One side is a Sunbrella-type outdoor fabric in refreshing aqua blue. The opposite side of the cushion is a vibrant ikat medallion design in aqua blue, green, and white. The head is comforted by an independent pillow that attaches via ties. The patio chaise swivels and rocks for the ultimate in relaxation. Text from the original ad (see photo of ad in gallery) Take your siesta on this fabulously comfortable, contoured chaise which rocks and swivels and adjusts in seconds to your mood of the moment! Without getting up, you may change from a relaxed reading position to a restful, feet-up snooze. Model 105 Siesta Chaise has all-welded steel construction — smooth eight-ball swivel bearings — time-tested floating-comfort rocker springs — roll-assay base for moving without lifting — baked-on enamel over bonderized steel. Its hand-washable cushion of polyether foam is augmented by an adjustable head pillow. Both are upholstered in your choice of fine cotton or plastic coverings in gay summer prints (shown on last page). Cushion length: 72” — seat width: 26” — height: 16” base diameter: 27”.
