About the Item
Stunning "Pluff" folding stool chair in chrome with a white colored polyurethane seat. The super rare and iconic "Pluff" was designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli and produced in Italy in the late 1960s.
This stylish and sturdy pouf have a structure in chromed metal with die-cast aluminum joints. The seat is in a charming off-white colored rigid polyurethane.
The Pluff is part of the permanent collection of the MOMA Museum in New York. We do also have available the full collection of 4 Pluffs in blue, green and red color.
The item is very stable and fully original. The brand label is still visible. In amazing condition with minimal signs of use and age.

Giancarlo Piretti was born in Bologna, Italy, in 1940.
He attended art schools there and subsequently taught Interior Design. During that time, he was also designing furniture for Anonima Castelli. He has won numerous awards and has items in many museums, including MoMA, New York. He still lives and works in Bologna with his son, designer Alessandro Piretti.
Anonima castelli is synonymous with top quality and essential elegance, a style that has been awarded many times, including three “compasso d'oro adi” awards. still today the company maintains a strong link with the history of design and carries on a heritage of knowledge and ideas.
